Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho, is seeking an ID1 RDA Process Engineer to monitor inline defectivity, identify anomalies, and lead defect-reduction initiatives.

You will leverage advanced inspection and metrology tools, analyze large data sets, and work with global teams to transfer new technologies into production. This role offers opportunities to influence high-volume manufacturing processes and contribute to yield and quality improvements across Micron's global operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to investigate process anomalies, perform root cause analysis, and interpret complex data sets.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and manufacturing processes.
• 5+ years of experience working within Semiconductor Manufacturing, specifically RDA or Metrology.

Responsibilities

• Analyze process flows, defect data, and inline signals to identify anomalies, drive corrective actions, and improve defect performance.
• Support experimentation, baseline health monitoring, and defect reduction initiatives across high-volume manufacturing.
• Utilize inspection and metrology tools to detect process issues early and identify sources of variation.
• Partner with global manufacturing, process integration, process development, and yield teams to develop and deploy best-known methods.
• Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, root cause investigations, and process optimization.
