Job summary

Smokey Point Smiles Dentistry is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to support dentists in delivering high-quality patient care. You will assist with chairside duties, radiography, and intra-oral imaging while adhering to safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED, and required state certification/licensure per regulations.
• Certifications/licenses/registrations as mandated by applicable state (e.g. coronal polish, radiograph exposure, ultrasonic scaling, sealant application).
• Associate degree or one-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school; or equivalent education/experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist to gain patient commitment for optimal treatment with urgency.
• Take x-rays and intra-oral pictures as directed by the dentist.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and operatories per ADA guidelines.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, etc).
• Prepare patients for treatment and support doctors to deliver quality care.

Education

Equivalent to high school diploma or GED
