Job summary

Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics is expanding its team with a Registered Dental Assistant to support back-office and lobby patient care across general dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery. You will work in a fast-paced environment, engage patients, and contribute to an exceptional patient experience.

The role requires an active TX RDA license, CPR/AED, and bilingual English/Spanish abilities. Evening and weekend hours are possible as business needs fluctuate.

Qualifications

• Must maintain active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE).
• CPR and AED training required.
• Certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide preferred.
• OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control training required annually.
• Dental practice management software experience (Open Dental/Dentrix) helpful.
• Sealant, Coronal Polishing, or PALS certifications are a plus.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory and coordinate back-office supplies.
• Focus on patient and team safety as a priority.
• Adhere to OSHA and Infection Control protocols and properly dispose of sharps.
• Maintain digital patient records including health history, eligibility, treatment plans, and authorizations.
• Educate patients and parents on oral health benefits.
• Monitor patient well-being during visits and ensure comfort.
• Prepare tray setups per doctor preferences and procedures.
• Clean, disinfect, and stock exam rooms and operatories at start/end of patient interactions.
• Chart treatments and update patient charts with fillings, crowns, sealants, etc.
• Review patient charts and health history before doctor arrives.
• Take diagnostic X-rays and attach to patient charts.
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing patient areas and shared spaces.
