Job summary

Rodeo Dental in Temple, Texas is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to support multiple specialties, provide direct patient care in the back office and welcoming lobby, and help create an outstanding patient experience.

The role requires a current RDA license with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners, CPR/AED, OSHA/HIPAA training, and flexibility for evenings or weekends; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active RDA license with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.
• Current CPR and AED training.
• Nitrous Oxide monitoring certification preferred.
• OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control training up to date.
• Open Dental or Dentrix experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory and report to Lead DA to replenish stock.
• Prioritize patient safety for patients and team members.
• Adhere to OSHA and Infection Control protocols and dispose of sharps safely.
• Maintain digital patient records including health history, treatment plans, and pre-authorizations.
• Educate patients and parents on oral health benefits.
• Monitor patient well-being during visits.
• Prepare tray setups per doctor preferences for procedures.
• Ensure exam rooms and operatories are cleaned, organized, and stocked.
• Update patient charts with treatments (fillings, crowns, etc.).
• Review charts with doctor and reconfirm chief concerns.
• Take diagnostic X-Rays and attach to patient charts.
• Assist Rodeo Team with cleaning and sanitizing surfaces and areas.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
