Job summary

Northern Valley Indian Health is seeking an RDA Manager to lead Lead RDAs and the dental support team across multiple sites. The role emphasizes staff development, recruitment support, and ensuring safe, compliant dental operations.

The position requires extensive clinical experience, strong leadership, and collaboration with site managers to optimize patient access and workflows while maintaining infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Current California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in good standing.
• Five (5) years of clinical dental assisting experience.
• Five (5) years of supervisory, lead, or leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of infection control, dental regulations, radiation safety, and HIPAA requirements.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency with electronic dental records and Microsoft Office applications.
• Leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, coach, counsel and ensure team effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to Lead RDAs and downline staff, including evaluations and coaching.
• Support recruitment efforts and screening of applicants; assist with onboarding and training.
• Coordinate adequate clinical support staffing and travel between sites.
• Implement new clinical workflows and standardize procedures across the agency.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, infection control, and verification logs.
• Perform duties of dental support staff as needed to maintain patient access.
• Assist with fiscal responsibilities and budget discussions as directed.
• Collaborate with other units on scheduling and coverage processes.
