Job summary

phc seeks a Registered Dental Assistant to support clinicians in a busy family dentistry setting. You will expose and process dental radiographs, assist during examinations and procedures, and teach patients how to care for their teeth.

We offer great salary and generous benefits and consistent hours. The ideal candidate has a CA RDA license, X-ray certification, bilingual English/Spanish, and a high school diploma plus graduated from an accredited dental assisting program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from accredited Dental Assisting School preferred.
• Minimum two years of recent experience as an RDA preferred.
• CA RDA license and X-ray license required; BLS and CE courses current.

Responsibilities

• Exposes and processes dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Assists the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures.
• Pours, trims, polishes study casts and fabricates trays; cleans appliances.
• Provides post-treatment oral care instructions to patients.
• Adheres to safety, OSHA, MSDS, and Dental Board regulations.
