Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED with state-mandated training.
• Certifications/licenses as mandated by the state (e.g., coronal polish, radiograph exposure).
• Associate degree or one-year certificate from an accredited program or equivalent.
• Radiography certification and dental assisting credentials as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist to gain patient commitment for best treatment with urgency.
• Participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by addressing patient needs and concerns.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment and prepare patients for treatment.
• Complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures as directed by the dentist.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care as directed.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and operatories per ADA guidelines.
