Job summary

PDS Health is hiring a Registered Dental Assistant Extended Function (RDA-EF) in Riverview, FL. The role supports dentists, educates patients with intra-oral visuals, and helps secure consent for the best available treatment with urgency.

The successful candidate will follow state/federal safety rules, maintain infection control, and assist in diagnosis and patient care while keeping the operatory sterile and compliant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and state certification/training as required.
• Associate degree or one-year certificate from an accredited program preferred.
• Regular physical ability to perform duties including lifting up to 10 pounds and standing/walking.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per applicable state Permitted Duties for Dental Auxiliaries.
• Contribute to a Patient Experience with urgency and focus on best treatment.
• Attend to individual patient concerns and expectations.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment and assist doctors during treatment.
• Obtain dental history/records, instruct patients, and document charts.
• Prepare tray setups, assist with instruments, and sterilize equipment.
• Escort patients and introduce them to the Continuing Care Clerk.
• Maintain operatory supplies and ensure compliance with regulatory policies.
