Dentists of Ocoee in Florida seeks a Registered Dental Assistant Extended Function (RDA-EF) to assist the dentist in delivering top-tier treatment and to help gain patient commitment through effective chair-side support.

The role emphasizes compliance with state/federal safety, infection control, and licensed duties, while educating patients with intra-oral visuals and ensuring a smooth patient flow throughout visits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; state-specific certification/licensure as applicable.
• Associate degree or one-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school, or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform functions in accordance with the applicable state’s Dental Auxiliaries Table of Permitted Duties.
• Assist in achieving the Perfect Patient Experience by focusing on urgent, high-quality treatment.
• Attend to patient concerns and expectations.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful operatory; prepare patients and assist dentists for efficient care.
• Record patient health history, educate patients, and document treatment notes.
• Prepare tray setups, present instruments, and maintain instrument sterilization per ADA/OSHA guidelines.
• Escort patients to/from front desk and coordinate with Care Clerk.
• Maintain supply levels and professional appearance per policy and regulations.
