Dentists of Sanford is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant Extended Function (RDA-EF) to support the dentist in delivering high-quality care and advancing treatment plans. You will use chair-side skills, educate patients with intra-oral images, and ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.

You’ll work with a collaborative team to assist in treatment, address patient concerns, and help maintain an efficient, welcoming operatory and experience for every patient.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required; state certification/licensure per local rules.
• Associates degree or certificate preferred.
• Experience with dental assisting and infection control is beneficial.

Aufgaben

• Perform functions in accordance with the applicable state’s Dental Auxiliaries Table of Permitted Duties.
• Actively participate in attempting to achieve the Perfect Patient Experience by focusing on urgent, quality care.
• Attend to the patient’s individual concerns and expectations.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment; prepare patients for treatment; assist doctors to provide efficient dental care.
• At the dentist’s direction, obtain dental history/records and instruct patients on care; document notes on treatment records.
• Prepare tray setups for procedures; present instruments; keep mouths dry; sterilize/disinfect instruments and operatories per ADA guidelines.
• Escort patients to/from the front desk and introduce them to the Continuing Care Clerk.
• Maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory and ensure professional appearance; comply with OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, FEHA, DOL and HR policies.
