Job summary

A-Team Dental Staffing has partnered with an established private dental practice in San Clemente, California, to recruit an experienced Dental Assistant or Registered Dental Assistant for a part-time, direct-hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate is motivated, dependable, and comfortable working in a busy, results-driven environment. Responsibilities include four-handed chairside assistance, radiographs, and maintaining clinical documentation in Dentrix.

Qualifications

• Active California RDA license preferred but not required
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, materials, and procedures
• Dentrix experience strongly preferred
• Experience assisting with oral surgery, implants, endodontics, restorative procedures, and Invisalign a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient four-handed chairside assistance
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials
• Assist with cosmetic and restorative dentistry, crowns and bridges, composite fillings, root canals, extractions, implant placement, dentures, and Invisalign
• Support the practice’s assisted-hygiene workflow
• Take diagnostic-quality digital radiographs, including FMX, bitewings, and panoramic images
• Record periodontal charting as directed
• Prepare patients for treatment and explain procedures
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Dentrix
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection-control standards
• Turn over treatment rooms efficiently
• Monitor supplies and restock treatment areas
• Provide postoperative instructions as directed
• Help maintain smooth patient flow in a fast-paced office
• Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and practice safety requirements
• Communicate effectively with providers, patients, and team members
