Job summary

OC Perio & Implants Dental Group in Mission Viejo, CA is seeking a dependable Dental Assistant (RDA or DA) to support periodontal and implant procedures. The role involves surgical and non-surgical support, room Prep, X-ray capture, and maintaining sterile operatory standards.

Requirements include RDA or DA certification, X-ray and CPR certifications, and a patient-focused, organized team player with strong communication skills. Competitive hourly pay with bonus opportunities and benefits.

Qualifications

• RDA or DA — both accepted
• X-ray certification required
• CPR certification required
• Perio/implant or surgical assisting experience preferred (but not required)
• Strong knowledge of sterilization protocols and clinical setup
• Professional, patient-focused demeanor and strong communication skills
• Reliable, organized, and a collaborative team player

Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor during periodontal and implant procedures (surgical and non-surgical)
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures
• Take and process digital X-rays and clinical photos (as applicable)
• Maintain sterilization, infection control, and operatory readiness to a high standard
• Support patient experience: welcoming, reassuring, and attentive care
• Chart accurately and support clinical documentation as needed
• Stock and maintain supplies; support back-office systems and efficiency
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth handoffs and on-time patient flow
