Ro Health, LLC is seeking a dedicated Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team at a California State Prison in Soledad. The role involves assessing and managing nutritional needs of incarcerated individuals, while ensuring CDCR guidelines are met and patient well-being is promoted.

Qualifications

• Active RD license in California.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to pass a strict background check.
• Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, meal planning and dietary modifications.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess the nutritional needs of incarcerated individuals based on medical conditions, dietary restrictions and facility guidelines.
• Develop and implement individualized meal plans and therapeutic diets in compliance with CDCR regulations.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition interventions, making adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to manage patients with chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension and obesity.
• Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients, staff, and facility administrators.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal dietary regulations, including food safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with CDCR policies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary healthcare meetings to enhance patient care outcomes.

Details:

• Location: Soledad, CA
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts
• Higher Pay for Travelers: Additional compensation for those commuting 50+ miles from the facility
• Employment Type: Contract
