Job summary

Ro Health, LLC is seeking a dedicated Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) to join our healthcare team at a California State Prison in Soledad. Qualifications

• Active LPT license in good standing in California.
• At least 1 year of LPT experience.
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to pass a strict background check.
• Commitment to patient-centered mental health care.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications, including psychotropic drugs, and monitor responses
• Assist in crisis intervention, de-escalation, and suicide prevention
• Conduct mental health assessments and document progress
• Monitor and report changes in patient behavior and mental status
• Implement and follow individualized treatment plans under direction of RNs and mental health providers
• Provide therapeutic interventions and assist with group counseling sessions as directed
• Ensure compliance with facility regulations, facility policies, and ethical standards of psychiatric care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including RNs, psychiatrists, and custody staff, to ensure patient safety and proper care
• Educate patients on mental health conditions, medication adherence, and coping strategies
• Maintain a secure and therapeutic environment for both patients and staff

Education

Details:

• Location: Soledad, CA
• Schedule: 5 days/week, 8-hour shifts
• Higher Pay for Travelers: Additional compensation for those commuting 50+ miles from the facility
• Employment Type: Contract
• Travel pay available for those who live 50+ miles from the facility

Required Qualifications (You must meet this qualifications to be considered for this role):

• Active California LPT license (in good standing)
• At least 1 year of experience as an LPT
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
• Ability to pass a strict background check
• Strong commitment to patient-centered care and mental health rehabilitation
