Care New England is seeking a CPD Certified Technician to perform all reprocessing activities for instruments, supplies, and equipment used for patient care in Providence, RI. Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• RCST certification required.

Responsibilities

• Collects, transports, receives, and processes contaminated instruments, equipment, linen and refuse.
• Sorts, inspects, assembles, wraps, and sterilizes instrumentation, linens and supplies.
• Performs and interprets sterilization monitoring activities.
• Retrieves preference cards from the computer based on the case schedule.
• Inventories and replenishes sterile linens for surgery, OR, and recovery areas.
• Prepares case carts according to preference cards.
• Serves as a resource to coworkers and hospital staff.
• Tracks supply inventory and reports shortages to supervisor.
• Assists other department staff as assigned by supervisor.
