Job summary

Kent Hospital in Rhode Island is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, clean, process, distribute, store and sterilize surgical instruments in the Sterile Processing area.

Experience is preferred (6 months in Surgical Services) and CRCST certification is required; non-certified Tech roles may also be available. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office is expected.

Qualifications

• 6 months of Surgical Services experience preferred.
• CRCST certification required; non-certified Sterile Tech positions available.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Skills in inventory management, analytical skills, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication, team leadership and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, process, distribute, store and sterilize surgical instrumentation in the Sterile Processing area.
• Interact with surgeons, nurses and OR team to ensure proper products are available during surgery.
