Job summary

KMS Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced RCOH SQL Developer to support the SUPSHIP Newport News Planning Team. The role involves providing SQL development and Access/SQL Server integration across legacy and modern data platforms.

The candidate will administer SQL Server databases, convert Access SQL, design GUI forms, and ensure cybersecurity/compliance. A DoD Secret clearance is required, with extensive shipyard and fleet asset knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• 10+ years in aircraft carrier maintenance/ship repair business analysis.
• Strong MS SQL Server (12.0+) and Access (accdb) knowledge.
• Experience with software version control systems.
• Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; able to design GUI forms and debug VBA.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot existing Access databases.
• Administer SQL Server databases: backups, tuning, security, user accounts.
• Design and optimize SQL-driven applications with data integrity and cybersecurity.
• Collaborate with contracting officers and users to ensure functionality and develop features.
• Convert Access SQL to SQL Server syntax; design GUI forms; debug VBA.
• Improve security of Access apps and assist with ATO process.
• Use version control for existing apps.
