Job summary

International Executive Service Corps in Newport News, VA seeks a SQL Developer to support the SUPSHIP NN RCOH project. You will maintain and optimize SQL Server databases, enhance legacy Access applications, and ensure data integrity and cybersecurity compliance.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in shipbuilding or Navy-related IT environments, a Bachelor's degree, and Security+ or equivalent certification. This on-site role offers growth with the company and exposure to critical DoD programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required.
Security+ or equivalent certification and SQL Server certification are required.
Experience in aircraft carrier maintenance/shipbuilding or Navy-related IT environments preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain, enhance, develop, and troubleshoot Access applications and accdb databases.
Administer SQL Server databases including backups, tuning, security, and user accounts.
Design, develop, repair, and optimize SQL database-driven applications with data integrity and cybersecurity in mind.
Collaborate with Contracting Officers, Planning Managers, and users to ensure functionality and develop new features.
Convert Access SQL statements to SQL Server syntax, design GUI forms in Access, and debug VBA.
Improve security features and assist with the Authority to Operate (ATO) process; apply software version control.
