Job summary

Tamayo Federal Solutions (TFS) is seeking an experienced RCOH SQL Developer / Database Administrator in Newport News, VA. You will support SQL development, database administration, and Access application modernization for the SUPSHIP Newport News RCOH team.

You will design and maintain SQL Server databases, develop Access-based interfaces, and collaborate with government stakeholders to ensure secure, reliable data platforms across legacy and current systems.

Qualifications

Minimum of ten years of relevant experience in aircraft carrier maintenance, shipbuilding, ship repair, or related business analysis.
Experience developing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing SQL Server databases and Access databases.
US citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. government Secret security clearance.
Security+ or equivalent certification and SQL Server certification.

Responsibilities

Provide SQL development, database administration, Microsoft Access support, and data platform modernization for RCOH.
Maintain and optimize SQL Server databases, backups, security, and user management.
Design Access GUI forms and debug VBA code.
Coordinate with government stakeholders to confirm required functionality and implement new features.
Convert Access SQL statements to SQL Server syntax and support legacy migrations.
