Job summary

Persistent Systems Limited is seeking an experienced AI/ML Developer for the UHC initiative on the Surest ASO New Business Project in New Jersey. You will work with UHC, Optum, and Palantir stakeholders to ensure data quality, regulatory alignment, and timely delivery within a 24-week timeline.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in AI technology, hands-on AI/ML, Azure IaaS, Databricks, PySpark, and a strong CI/CD/DevOps background, plus exposure to GenAI tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of AI technology and programming experience.
• Healthcare AI/ML development experience is preferred.
• Experience with Azure IaaS, Databricks, PySpark, and CI/CD/DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with UHC, Optum, and Palantir stakeholders to clarify requirements and validate data.
• Ensure data quality and regulatory alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

About Position

We are seeking an experienced AI/ML Developer to join our team for the UHC initiative on the Surest ASO New Business Project. This role is critical to the successful delivery of a high-priority strategic initiative with an aggressive 24-week timeline. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI technology and programming, with a focus on collaboration and communication with various stakeholders.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with UHC, Optum, and Palantir stakeholders to clarify requirements, validate data, and conduct testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Ensure data quality and regulatory alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Act as the primary liaison between U.S.-based stakeholders, Palantir teams, and offshore development resources.
• Drive critical decisions, remove delivery roadblocks, and maintain execution momentum.
• Utilize AI tools to enhance coding, documentation, data analysis, and decision-making workflows.
• Stay current with evolving AI capabilities and apply them to improve delivery quality and velocity.

Mandatory Skills

• Minimum 4 years of experience in AI technology and programming, with expertise in AI ML, Azure IaaS, Databricks, PySpark, and CI CD & DevOps.
• At least 3 years of experience with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft 365 copilot, and other GenAI Agents.
• Proven experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in AI/ML development.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kafka Messaging Bus.
• Healthcare industry experience is a plus.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a baseline proficiency in enterprise-approved AI tools, maintaining a minimum of 90% weekly usage. You will leverage these tools to enhance productivity and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
