Persistent is seeking an experienced AI/ML Developer for the UHC initiative on the Surest ASO New Business Project in New Jersey. This role focuses on leveraging AI technologies, Azure, Databricks, PySpark, and DevOps to deliver a high-priority project within a 24-week window.

The ideal candidate has strong scripting experience, familiarity with GenAI tools, and healthcare industry exposure. Hybrid work model, cross-functional collaboration, and delivery excellence are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in scripting.
• 3 years of experience with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
• Cross-functional expertise in AI/ML, Azure IaaS, Databricks, PySpark, and CI/CD & DevOps.
• Proven experience in the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with UHC, Optum, and Palantir stakeholders to clarify requirements, validate data, test, and perform UAT.
• Ensure data quality, regulatory alignment, and timely milestone delivery.
• Act as liaison between U.S.-based stakeholders, Palantir teams, and offshore resources.
• Drive critical decisions, remove blockers, and maintain execution momentum throughout the project lifecycle.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance coding, documentation, data analysis, and decision-making workflows.
• Stay current with evolving AI capabilities to improve delivery quality and velocity.

About Position

We are seeking an experienced AI/ML Developer to join our team for the UHC initiative on the Surest ASO New Business Project. This role is critical to the successful implementation of a high-priority strategic initiative with an aggressive 24-week delivery timeline. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI technology, programming, and cross-functional expertise in AI/ML, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, PySpark, and DevOps.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with UHC, Optum, and Palantir stakeholders to accelerate requirements clarification, data validation, testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Ensure data quality, regulatory alignment, and timely delivery of project milestones.
• Act as the primary liaison between U.S.-based stakeholders, Palantir teams, and offshore development resources.
• Drive critical decisions, remove delivery roadblocks, and maintain execution momentum throughout the project lifecycle.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance coding, documentation, data analysis, and decision-making workflows.
• Stay current with evolving AI capabilities and features to improve delivery quality and velocity.

Mandatory Skills

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Scripting.
• 3 years of experience with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft 365 copilot, and other GenAI Agents.
• Cross-functional expertise in AI ML, Azure IaaS, Databricks, PySpark, and CI CD & DevOps.
• Proven experience in the healthcare industry.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Snowflake and Kafka Messaging Bus.
• Familiarity with healthcare industry standards and regulations.
