Job summary

MyCare Medical Group in the United States is seeking an Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist to process medical billing claims of low to moderate complexity, collect payments, and handle appeals and resubmissions for patient payers.

The role requires experience in medical billing, CPT/ICD-10 proficiency, HIPAA compliance, and strong communication. Knowledge of ECW EMR and MS Office is preferred. Team-oriented in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of medical billing and collections experience.
• Strong knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
• Experience with EMR and billing software; ECW preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Respond to management, staff or provider requests in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Scrub claims daily and submit to clearinghouse.
• Generate timely submission of claims to payers.
• Review AR balances to ensure timely payments.
• Follow up with insurance to resolve denials and appeals.
• Bill co-insurance, deductible, and patient responsibility accounts per payer guidelines.
• Document billing status and payer requirements in systems.
• Communicate effectively to resolve billing inquiries and payer issues.
• Attend team meetings and participate in assigned projects.
