Horizon Hobby in Champaign, IL (also Rancho Cucamonga, CA) is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for the Spektrum Battery ecosystem. You will develop 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and ensure design for manufacturability across battery products and accessories.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years' experience with SolidWorks, PDM, and GD&T. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive design improvements and support scale-up from concept

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of mechanical product design and development experience.
• Experience with SolidWorks, PDM, and GD&T principles.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, and drawings for batteries and accessories.
• Develop production-ready designs meeting performance and cost goals.
• Support prototype builds, design reviews, and manufacturing integration.
• Maintain design standards and documentation across product families.
