About NYC Behavior Specialists

NYC Behavior Specialists provides Applied Behavior Analysis services across home, school, and community settings. The clinical approach focuses on building meaningful skills rather than suppressing behavior. Treatment targets functional communication, independence, and long-term generalization into daily life environments.

The organization operates from three principles:

  • Behavior has meaning — interventions address function, not surface behavior.
  • Therapy must increase autonomy — the goal is reduced dependence on providers over time.
  • Consistency across environments determines success — collaboration with caregivers and schools is required.
