Summary

The Host/Hostess is responsible for greeting guests promptly upon arrival and welcoming them to their dining experience with warmth and professionalism. This role includes seating guests, presenting menus, and ensuring each interaction is friendly, timely, and aligned with our hospitality standards.

Licensing Requirements

• Valid Food Handlers Certification

Duties & Responsibilities

• Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.
• Maintain a constant focus on opening the front door for all guests entering or exiting the restaurant.
• When immediate seating is unavailable, record guest names and party sizes accurately.
• Provide guests with estimated waiting time.
• Notify guests by calling out their name and party size when tables become available.
• Answer phone calls professionally, following hospitality standards.
• Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.
• Seat guests based on preferences and balancing customer flow in service stations.
• Upon seating guests, present menus and inform them of their assigned server’s name. Ensure tables are properly set, clean, and fully prepared, inspecting for completeness and presentation standards.
• Relay messages to servers and bussers as needed.
• Maintain a clean service area.
• Conduct scheduled checks of restrooms, landscaping, windows, and entryways.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.

• Excellent customer service and hospitality skills.

• Able to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members.
• Ability to manage guest wait lists and provide accurate wait time estimates.

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
