Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensure the efficient flow of raw stock to manufacturing, including receiving, storing, identifying, cutting, and transacting all stock according to established policies and procedures.
• Prioritize work and sequence set-ups for maximum efficiency.
• Receive raw stock, verify delivery matches documentation, and inspect for acceptable condition.
• Complete receiving documentation and process receipts in the ERP system.
• Label incoming raw stock with lot labels and color code for easy identification.
• Store raw stock systematically, rotate stock as needed, and scrap per guidelines.
• Cut raw stock according to schedule and accurately transact in ERP.
• Mark cut material with job number and operation due date.
• Assist in periodic and annual physical inventories of raw stock.
• Perform routine maintenance on band saws and other equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, report equipment issues.
• Follow safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Work collaboratively with co-workers, communicate effectively.
• Assist in other manufacturing areas as needed.

Candidate Qualifications

Education/Experience: GED/high school diploma; vocational education with knowledge of steel and aluminum identification and blueprint reading is preferred.

Other Qualifications: Ability to follow instructions, make decisions per policies, perform calculations involving fractions and decimals, communicate effectively, complete paperwork legibly, and demonstrate computer literacy.
