Job Description

We’re looking for a team player who’s detail-oriented, curious, and ready to jump into a hands-on role in our busy lab. If you enjoy solving problems, learning new skills, and being part of a supportive, collaborative environment — this could be a great fit! You’ll help with routine testing, handle samples carefully, and play a key role in making sure our quality standards stay top-notch.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Performing routine lab tests like pH, Conductivity, Nitrate Identification, Total Organic Carbon (TOC), and Appearance
• Receiving, labeling, handling, and properly disposing of lab samples
• Calibrating (or verifying the calibration of) instruments and devices before use
• Recording test results accurately and reporting anything unusual
• Keeping lab supplies stocked and maintaining a clean, organized workspace
• Communicating with internal teams and supporting great service for our clients
• Taking part in training and development activities
• Following all safety and regulatory requirements to keep things compliant and running smoothly

This position is an indoor lab-based position, working in biopharmaceutical manufacturing cleanrooms and lab spaces. Position requires significant time spent in ISO 8 cleanrooms with the following restrictions:

• No cosmetic products or applications (such as makeup, false lashes, spray tans, tintedmoisturizer, etc) are permitted and must be removed before entry
• Nails must be kept short, trimmed, and unadorned (no nail polish, rhinestones, etc)
• No jewelry may be worn (exceptions are medical alert-related and one smooth ring band that can be easily covered by a glove)
• Hair must be able to be neatly tied back and contained in a hairnet, and all facial hair must be neatly trimmed and able to be secured in a beard cover.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related scientific field, or equivalent experience
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• Self-motivated, adaptable, and team-oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to learn quickly, multitask, and maintain accurate records while following instructions and company policies
• Comfortable working in a physical role that requires standing for extended periods
• Experience in GMP, biopharmaceutical, or related industries, with familiarity in LIMS preferred

Additional Information

What to Expect in the Hiring Process:

• 30 Minute Virtual Meeting with Site Director

The work schedule will be Wednesday through Saturday, 7 am-5:30 pm,with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, New York, are encouraged to apply.
