Job summary

ArtiFlex Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a Raw Material Buyer to oversee daily purchasing activities for raw materials, components, packaging, and MRO.

The role reports to the Director of Supply Chain and leads both buyers and supplier quality efforts on the shop floor. Responsibilities include ensuring material availability for production, driving waste reduction, and fostering safe, efficient procurement processes across office and production spaces in Wooster, OH.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred.
• Minimum five years of managerial experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and be computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Support and follow the Company Safety Programs
• Recognize and reduce waste to create a more efficient planning system
• Supervise the Purchasing Agents and Supplier Quality Lead
• Ensure adequate planning for the purchase and procurement of raw material supplies needed for production
• Assist with identifying and resolving raw material supplier issues
• Identify and provide necessary training for employees
• Other duties as required

Job Location

Performed in the office and production floor with unrestricted movement. Some travel as required.
