Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a Business Unit Strategy Analyst Specialist for its Rate Strategy team within Cash & Savings. You will own end-to-end rate-change execution across cash products, coordinating implementation, validation, controls, evidence, and downstream activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree a plus.
• Strong track record executing complex operational processes with attention to detail and follow-through.
• Experience creating, maintaining, or improving procedures, process maps, workflows, checklists, or other operational docs.
• Experience identifying operational risks, supporting controls, evidence maintenance, and audit readiness.
• Excellent Excel skills; familiarity with macro-enabled workbooks and VBA to test, validate, and troubleshoot solutions.
• Proven ability to coordinate work across multiple teams, manage dependencies, and drive tasks to completion.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to explain complex execution issues clearly.

Responsibilities

• Execute approved rate changes from planning through implementation, validation, evidence collection, and post-change confirmation.
• Coordinate cross-functional execution by clarifying ownership, managing dependencies, tracking completion, and driving stakeholder readiness.
• Maintain procedures, checklists, process maps, control docs, decision records, and supporting evidence for audit readiness.
• Identify operational risks, support risk assessment, mitigation, control execution, issue escalation, and remediation activities.
• Maintain and enhance end-to-end process documentation as requirements and downstream processes evolve.
• Identify and implement process improvements that reduce manual effort and increase scalability.
• Support use of automation and AI-enabled solutions to enhance execution, documentation, QA, and efficiency with oversight.
• Support vendor-related activities including requirements, deliverables, contracts, renewals, spending, performance, and issue resolution.
• Partner across product, operations, technology, finance, risk, compliance, marketing, controls, oversight, and other teams to drive execution.
• Provide clear updates on execution status, risks, controls, issues, decisions, and improvements.
