Job summary

Alexion, AstraZeneca Rare Disease, is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in the United States. This field-based role connects clinicians and KOLs with our rare disease portfolio, delivering current scientific data and aligning with medical strategies across the product lifecycle.

The MSL will travel within the territory, build lasting relationships with HCPs, and collaborate with Medical Directors and cross-functional teams to advance medical goals and real-world evidence initiatives.

Qualifications

• MD, PharmD, or PhD in biological sciences strongly preferred.
• Clinical experience or MSL track record preferred; industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• HCP relationship management and engagement planning.
• Evaluate territory to profile HCPs and centers of excellence.
• Develop and refine HCP engagement plans aligned with medical goals.
• Gains HCP trust by providing relevant scientific information.
• Disseminates HCP insights to inform medical strategy.
• Builds internal cross-functional collaborations and contributes to HEOR
• Maintains knowledge of clinical study designs and protocols.
• Supports externally sponsored research and clinical trials as appropriate.
• Travel 70% within territory; home-based office optional.
