Job summary

UCB is seeking a Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) for a regional, field-based role in the U.S. Rare Disease Organization. The TLL will build relationships with healthcare thought leaders, translate insights, and coordinate compliant engagement to support strategy, education, and patient care.

The position covers multiple states and requires extensive travel (up to 80%), with a hybrid work model and a focus on MG-related knowledge. Base salary range is $164,000–$215,300 annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 7+ years’ experience in specialty pharmaceuticals or biotech.
• 5+ years in field sales, product marketing, thought leader engagement or similar.
• 2+ years Thought Leader Liaison experience or similar role.
• Willingness to travel 80% of the time, including weekends and evenings.
• Must live within 1 hour of a major airline airport hub within the territory.
• Experience managing demanding travel and meeting schedules.

Responsibilities

• Develop purposeful relationships with established and emerging healthcare leaders across priority rare disease communities.
• Generate insights by gathering, documenting, and synthesizing external perspectives to identify opportunities and inform strategy.
• Develop engagement plans for assigned thought leaders, accounts, and congresses, with clear objectives.
• Enable compliant collaboration by connecting thought leaders with appropriate UCB partners and coordinating engagement across departments.
• Support priority programs including advisory activities, peer education, congress engagement, and speaker development.
• Prioritize activity to advance RDO strategy and patient value.
• Maintain disciplined execution through planning, documentation, reporting, follow-up, and policy adherence.
