Job summary

SpaceX is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer for Raptor turbomachinery in Hawthorne, CA. You will develop, implement and optimize production processes for turbomachinery components and assemblies within a fast-paced aerospace setting.

You will work with design and fabrication teams to drive innovative production methods, balance correction techniques, and high-rate production targets while maintaining ownership of turbopump manufacturing deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of turbomachinery or rotating machinery experience preferred.
• Experience with balance processes and production environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing and integration processes for turbomachinery components and assemblies.
• Implement new capabilities and resolve conflicting requirements.
• Drive innovative production processes for high-rate production targets.
• Collaborate with design and fabrication teams to build and assemble parts.
