Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a STRUCTURAL ANALYST (RAPTOR COMBUSTION DEVICES) to verify the structural reliability of components from liftoff to landing. You will perform static, thermal, thermo-mechanical, and durability analyses using FEA and first principles, driving design choices for Starship engine hardware.

The role partners with cross-functional teams to validate designs, support manufacturing, and qualify changes, with opportunities to travel for testing and extended hours

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics.
• 1+ years of structural analysis experience or internships.
• Experience with FEA software and post-processing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct static, thermal, thermo-mechanical, dynamic and durability analyses using FEA.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet engine objectives.
• Validate models against test data and perform hand calculations as needed.
• Support design, manufacturing and reliability improvements.
