Job summary

Rising Ground’s RAPP Coordinator in Queens, NY, is a full-time social work role at a DOE middle or high school campus. You will provide education and counseling on relationship abuse, healthy relationships, and related topics to students on a daily basis.

During the summer, you will facilitate an intensive RAPP peer-leader program, collaborate with school staff, complete required documentation, participate in supervision, and may supervise MSW interns as part of a team dedicated to youth safety

Qualifications

• MSW or MHC required; LMSW within 6 months of hire.
• Strong and diverse clinical skills.
• Knowledge of intimate partner violence, teen relationship abuse, and trauma.
• Commitment to healing-centered, anti-oppressive practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and crisis counseling to students.
• Facilitate classroom workshops and trainings for staff, parents, and community.
• Collaborate with school staff to design and implement the RAPP summer program.
• Supervise MSW interns when applicable.
• Complete related paperwork in a timely manner.
