Job summary

Rising Ground, Inc. in Brooklyn is seeking a dedicated RAPP Community Educator to deliver engaging programs on healthy relationships and violence prevention. You will facilitate student and parent workshops and contribute to staff trainings across multiple schools.

The role requires executing curricula, partnering with educators, and coordinating schedules while offering referrals and support to students in need. Immediate start with full-time hours in Brooklyn, NY.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years demonstrated group facilitation experience.
• College Degree preferred; experience developing and facilitating workshops.
• Deep understanding of intimate partner violence and adolescent development.
• Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Clear commitment to anti-oppressive, healing-centered approaches.
• Experience working in NYC schools or community-based organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate interactive student workshops and peer groups focused on relationship abuse prevention, gender-based violence, and related issues.
• Develop and deliver trainings for school staff, parents, and community members.
• Create and revise curriculum tailored to adolescents and educational environments.
• Build strong partnerships with school staff; coordinate training schedules and resources.
• Provide appropriate community referrals for students seeking additional support.
• Actively participate in weekly team meetings and planning sessions.
• Complete administrative reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
• Support and co-lead Summer Peer Leadership Program.
• Conduct outreach to new schools and organizations for program expansion.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the RAPP Program Supervisor.
