The ideal candidate has 2+ years of automotive technician experience, owns a basic toolset, and can operate in a high-volume recon environment while staying reliable and detail-oriented.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of automotive technician experience (lube, line, or recon).
• Experience with inspections, basic diagnostics, and light mechanical work.
• Own a basic set of tools.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a standard background check.
• Reliable with consistent attendance.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform full used car inspections (UCI), including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and drivability.
• Complete basic maintenance such as oil changes, fluid services, filters, batteries, brakes, and tires.
• Handle light mechanical and recon repairs to prepare vehicles for the lot quickly and correctly.
• Document findings, flag hours accurately, and communicate with advisors and managers on needed repairs.
• Ensure vehicles are fully frontline-ready, including final road tests and quality checks.
