Job summary

Cogent Analytics is seeking a Storm Ops Administrative Manager to lead rapid mobilization and power restoration projects for utility companies during emergencies. The role focuses on planning, coordinating, and driving administrative processes to ensure swift and efficient service delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a strong PM background, leadership and communication skills, and the ability to operate under pressure in fast-paced environments. PMP or equivalent certification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in project management or administrative management roles.
• Proven track record of managing complex projects including rapid mobilization and power restoration.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
• Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Systems Architecture & Implementation: Build and maintain inventory systems for materials and manage Work Order Systems.
• Strategic Procurement & Fleet Management: Lead specifications for truck builds and negotiate with vendors to ensure fleet uptime.
• Standardization & operational governance: Write and execute SOPs and standardize tools.
• Emergency Response & Field Logistics: Lead during storm events, oversee dispatch, and ensure safety compliance.
• Asset & Facility Oversight: Manage testing equipment lifecycle and maintenance across facilities.
• Performance & Cost Optimization: Track KPIs and drive cost savings through negotiations and audits.
• Rental Equipment Management: Partner with local contractors on renting equipment and manage internal fleet availability.
