Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse SWAT for the Medical/Surgical unit to respond to urgent patient care needs across the hospital. This role requires rapid assessment, emergency intervention, and collaboration with floor staff to stabilize patients and coordinate care.

Responsibilities include responding to Code Blues and Rapid Responses, assisting with patient transport, and supporting ICU-level interventions as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active Michigan RN license.
• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• Previous experience in critical care/emergency department setting.

Responsibilities

• Responds to medical emergency problems including Code Blue’s, Rapid Responses, and Code MTP’s. Supports floor staff with concerns regarding patient decline/clinical assessment.
• Assists in transporting Critical Care patients within the hospital (e.g., MRI, diagnostic tests).
• Assists with difficult IV starts and utilizes ultrasound-guided IV placement as needed.
• Participates in quality outcomes and adheres to regulatory requirements; maintains collaboration with multiple disciplines.
• Participates in Code Blue Committee including audits and action plans.
