Job summary

RNs at Dignity Health – Yavapai Regional Medical Center (now part of CommonSpirit Health) are seeking a SWAT RN to respond to rapid response, code blue, and code stroke calls as the primary clinical responder. You will perform advanced vascular access and lead proactive rounds across nursing units.

The role requires emergency nursing experience, critical care expertise, and NIHSS certification, with summer-time credentialing expectations for PALS and ultrasound-guided PIV. Prescott, AZ area.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree of Nursing required.
• Two (2) years ICU or SWAT RN experience.
• Valid compact state or Arizona RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification within 30 days.
• Ultrasound-guided PIV placement within 6 months.
• PALS within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead hospital-wide rapid response, code blue, and code stroke as the primary clinical responder.
• Perform advanced vascular access and USPIV placements while troubleshooting devices.
• Conduct proactive walkthrough rounds on all nursing units to assess needs and coordinate resources.
• Mentor and coach nursing staff on competencies, documentation, equipment use, and quality metrics.
