Essential functions include rapid assessment, documentation, and collaboration with senior staff to handle challenging cases, with responsibilities extending to coaching junior team members and maintaining compliance with policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience and 1 year in a clinical specialty.
• RN license in NC or Compact state; BLS/CPR and ACLS or NIH certification required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care for timely treatment.
• Analyze patient conditions and administer rapid response interventions.
• Prepare documentation to ensure accurate patient care records.
• Review policies to ensure care compliance with laws and procedures.
• Seek guidance from senior management on complex rapid response cases.
• Coach and review work of lower-level staff to ensure quality care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Function

• Responds to medical emergencies and provides immediate care to patients to ensure that patients receive timely and appropriate care in emergency situations.


• Analyzes patient conditions and provides rapid response interventions to ensure that patients receive the best possible care based on their individual needs and medical conditions.


• Prepares documentation related to patient care to ensure that patient care is well-documented and that accurate records are maintained.


• Reviews policies and procedures related to patient care and safety to ensure that patient care is delivered in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies and procedures.


• Seeks advice from senior management regarding challenging rapid response situations that require deeper understanding.


• Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals involved in rapid response to ensure high-quality care.


• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

• Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing.


• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Experience

• Required: 2 years as a Registered Nurse and 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations

Licensure/Certification/Listing

• Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider ACLS or NIH certification.
