_ GENERAL SUMMARY:_

Delivers exceptional leadership in the rapid coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care during critical situations. Utilizes advanced clinical assessment and the nursing process to quickly formulate and implement effective care plans, delegate responsibilities, and supervise care delivery in high-acuity environments. Rapidly communicates critical patient and family information to the healthcare team, identifies and resolves care variances with precision, and ensures swift implementation of evidence-based solutions that directly impact patient outcomes.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Rapidly assess and respond to acute patient deterioration, providing immediate interventions and stabilization in time-critical situations

  • Demonstrate exceptional clinical judgment and autonomous decision-making to formulate and execute comprehensive nursing care plans in dynamic, high-acuity settings

  • Swiftly coordinate and communicate critical patient information across the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure seamless continuity of care

  • Lead rapid response initiatives by delegating tasks effectively, supervising care delivery, and maintaining clear documentation in fast-paced environments

  • Identify variances from patient goals and implement immediate solutions that optimize clinical outcomes and patient safety

  • Provide compassionate patient and family education and support during critical care transitions

  • Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop and adjust treatment plans in response to rapidly changing patient conditions


Qualifications: Qualifications

_ EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:_


  • BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

  • Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.

  • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.


CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:


  • Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. Health care provider certification (BCLS).
