Job summary

Priority Ondemand in South Carolina is seeking a QRV Paramedic to provide ALS care on scene and during transport, rendezvousing with a BLS crew as needed. You must maintain licenses and follow SC EMS rules with a six-month introductory probation.

The role requires independent field work, teamwork with first responders, and thorough reporting using PCR. Daily vehicle and equipment checks are essential, with flexibility for additional duties and on-call readiness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• SC Department of Public Health EMT-P Certification.
• Basic Life Support Certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
• PHTLS or equivalent certification within 6 months of hire date.
• PALS or equivalent certification within 6 months of hire date.
• EVOC or equivalent certification.
• Current State of South Carolina Driver’s License.
• Certified in maintenance of ventilators and IV infusion devices within 6 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Respond to all calls for service dispatched by the Medshore Communications center.
• Provide rapid response to emergency medical calls from an SUV to rendezvous with a responding BLS crew.
• Operate independently in the field and maintain equipment and vehicle.
• Collaborate with other first responders for coordinated care in emergencies.
• Communicate patient condition and treatment clearly to EMS team.
• Maintain readiness and professionalism while on duty.
• Prepare and complete PCR, billing, exposure and incident reports; daily/weekly unit check-offs.
