Job summary

Guardian Ambulance Service is seeking a QRV paramedic to provide ALS care on scene and during transport, coordinating with BLS crews and maintaining equipment and compliance with SC DPH rules.

Required are EMT-P, BLS, ACLS, PHTLS/PALS, EVOC, and SC driver’s license, with training provided for ventilator/IV equipment within 6 months. Expect field autonomy and readiness for varied EMS environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• SC Department of Public Health EMT-P Certification.
• Basic Life Support Certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
• PHTLS or equivalent certification (within 6 months of hire).
• PALS or equivalent certification (within 6 months of hire).
• EVOC or equivalent certification.
• Current State of South Carolina Driver’s License.
• Certified in ventilation and IV infusion devices (within 6 months; training provided).

Responsibilities

• Respond to all calls for service as directed.
• Provide rapid response to EMS calls from an SUV and rendezvous with BLS crew.
• Operate independently and maintain equipment and vehicle.
• Collaborate with first responders for coordinated care.
• Communicate accurately with EMS team.
• Support staffing by covering ambulance when needed.
• Provide care per company protocols and medical director directions.
• Keep unit and equipment clean and report deficiencies.
• Document PCRs, billing, exposure and incident reports.
