Job summary

You will monitor 911 and radio systems, input data, and work with police, fire and EMS while maintaining logs. A high school diploma, two years of related experience, and ACJIS/NCIC familiarity are required; nights and weekends to work.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and manage time.
• Typing speed of 45 words per minute.
• Familiarity with ACJIS/NCIC or similar dispatch systems.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes and dispatches police, fire, EMS and other vehicles during emergencies.
• Maintains logs and data entry for all communications and locations.
• Operates ACJIS terminal and disseminates teletype information.
• Coordinates with other agencies and informs supervisors of sensitive issues.
