Job summary

A Safe Place is seeking a Rapid Re-Housing Case Manager to secure and place Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking survivors in transitional housing through landlord partnerships and subsidized rentals.

The role coordinates intake assessments, service plans, and in-house employment, education, counseling, and legal advocacy services, reporting to the Associate Director of Housing. Location is Round Lake Beach, IL with Lake County travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field required.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Travel within Lake County for site visits and outreach.

Responsibilities

• Develop partnerships with landlords to secure housing opportunities.
• Coordinate intake assessments and service plans for clients.
• Provide or arrange counseling, education, and employment support.
• Complete required documentation and compliance with funding rules.
• Perform outreach to housing resources and community stakeholders.
• Assist clients with housing search, applications, and certifications.
