Job summary

Cleveland Clinic in Ohio is seeking a part-time Advanced Practice Provider to deliver care in the Rapid Observation Unit, including admissions and discharges and routine follow-up. The APP may be cross-trained to cover the House Internal Medicine service; shifts are 7A-7P with 16 shifts every 8 weeks, weekends and holidays required, occasional call.

Qualifications

• APRN or PA with current license and credentialing in Ohio.
• MSN required for APRN or PA certification as applicable by state boards.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications as required by practice setting.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive medical histories and physical examinations and develops a working diagnosis and treatment plan.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
• Performs routine procedures and assists in more complex interventions as directed by supervising physicians.
• Prescribes and monitors medications within scope of prescriptive authority.
• Performs specialized procedures and manages follow-up care for assigned patients.
• Educates patients about disease, treatments, and preventive health practices.
• Participates in rounds and coordinates discharge planning and continuity of care.
