Job summary

Discord's Creative Studio Team is seeking a versatile graphic designer and illustrator with strong conceptual skills to create social content across a range of styles. You will work alongside the Social team and other creatives, delivering expressive design and illustrations under quick-turnaround timelines.

You should have a portfolio showcasing high-craft illustration and design, 2+ years of experience, and proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop.

Qualifications

• A portfolio showing expressive, high-craft illustration and graphic design across styles.
• 2+ years design or production experience in-house or agency, ideally in tech, gaming, or entertainment.
• Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop with strong composition, color, typography and visual hierarchy.
• Ability to work at speed without sacrificing craft and deliver polished work within hours or a day when needed.
• Experience producing work that feels native to an established brand identity.

Responsibilities

• Design and illustrate a wide range of social and community content across styles, including characters, visuals, and environments.
• Conceptualize quick-turnaround creative that captures cultural moments and community conversations within tight timelines.
• Collaborate with the Social team to translate ideas and campaigns into compelling design and illustration.
• Work with other creatives to maintain a consistent visual voice across platforms.
• Manage multiple requests, prioritizing and communicating as timelines shift.
• Give and receive feedback to iterate toward the strongest outcome under deadlines.
