Job summary

Hendrick Honda of Charleston is seeking a Lube Technician to perform express lube duties on vehicles, including oil and filter changes and basic preventative maintenance. You will follow lube guidelines, report repairs to the service advisor, and ensure the vehicle meets cleanliness and safety standards.

This role emphasizes accurate time tracking, adherence to safety rules, and participation in required training while upholding our core values and high CSI scores.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
• Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge.
• Technical training or commensurate technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to express lube guidelines.
• Performs lube, oil and filter changes by draining and replacing oil and filter, and lubricating joints.
• Reports all necessary repairs to service advisor.
• Installs completed LOF reminder sticker in vehicle.
• Checks battery, tire air pressure, windshield fluid, transmission fluid and power steering fluid levels and refills as needed.
• Checks coolant level and refills as necessary.
• Ensures that vehicle is clean and free of fluid residue or fingerprints.
• Maintains CSI at or above Company standards.
• Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
• Participates in required training.
• Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.
