Job summary

Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services is seeking a Behavioral Health Linkage Specialist to support individuals across ages who do not require ongoing services but need access to appropriate behavioral resources. The role triages, links to community resources, conducts assessments, and collaborates with other providers; services may be offered individually, in groups, or with families on-site.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in a human services field or be a Virginia-credentialed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in listed human services fields or a certified psychiatric rehabilitation practitioner in Virginia.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record checks, drug test, and CANIS report required upon request.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals across ages who did not meet criteria for ongoing services and link to appropriate behavioral resources.
• Triage and provide assessments and collaboration with community resources.
• Provide specialized services (housing, education, risk assessment, infectious disease prevention) and conduct on-site individual, group, and family sessions.

Job description

Responsibilities

Assists individuals, children, adolescents, and adults, who have presented to Rapid Access and did not meet criteria for active on-going services.; triages and then provide linkage, appropriate assessments and collaboration with community resources to assist the individual in receiving the appropriate behavioral services; provides specialized services to meet a variety of individual needs such as, but not limited to, housing, education, risk assessment, and prevention of infectious disease; sessions may be individual, group, and family settings on-site.

Minimum Requirements

• M1: Bachelors Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Vocational Rehabilitation, Counseling, or other approved Human Services degree, or a certified psychiatric rehabilitation practitioner in Virginia
• M2: Valid drivers license and safe driving record
• Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request. Our Agency maintains a drug-free workplace.

Salary and Benefits

ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: $44,825 - $77,617
