Job summary

Equity LifeStyle Properties (ELS) is seeking a Ranger for evenings and part-time duties at our Clermont, Florida campground. You will patrol grounds, answer questions, enforce rules, and help ensure guest safety while protecting belongings.

You will monitor access at the campground gate, perform routine patrols and check-in guests, and handle reservations and store sales as needed. The role requires teamwork, calm judgment in stressful situations, and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills; ability to use computer applications.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to assess situations, exercise judgment and resolve problems diplomatically.
• Exceptional customer service and communications skills; friendly demeanor.
• Experience in security and/or law enforcement is a benefit.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record and current auto insurance.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campground grounds and answer guest questions.
• Enforce rules and ensure guest safety and belongings are protected.
• Monitor property and secure the campground.
• Ensure guests comply with resort rules and contact law enforcement if needed.
• Monitor gate access and validate entry permissions.
• Perform routine patrols and inspect golf carts and rentals.
• Take camping reservations, check-in/out guests, and sell day passes.
• Provide on-call emergency service as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What you’ll do

• The Campground Ranger position may include walking or patrol of the grounds of the campground answering questions, enforcing rules and ensuring the safety of our guests and their belongings.
• The ideal employee can handle any stressful situation in a calm manner and react accordingly with regards to local, state and federal law.
• Monitor the property with a keen eye for any property issues or potential problems.
• Ensure that the property is properly secured.
• Ensure that guests comply with resort rules, respond to areas of concern and contact law enforcement if necessary.
• Monitor all incoming guests through the campground gate and validate if access is acceptable.
• Perform routine patrols, golf cart and rental inspections.
• Take camping reservations, check people in and out and sell day passes and items at the store.
• Prioritize guest safety and happiness.
• Performs on-call emergency service as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
